Yesterday marked the day the ZipNStore deal was finalized. ZipNStore will partner with a fifty year old company (who is also the leading plastic manufacturer in Asia). This means that ZipNStore will be a global brand. All this, 1 year and 5 days after ZipNStore finalized its crowdfunding on Kickstarter.
Just 1 royalty point in the ZipNStore sales pool will be worth so much more to us than we ever did to build this brand. We crowdfunded it, we sold it and we shared it with friends & family on social media. For all of that, we get royalties on every ZipNStore sold, every single quarter, for the rest of our lives, our kids lives, and, potentially, their kids lives. It doesn’t matter who sells it, we all earn royalties. Now, that’s a brilliant business model.
It’s going to feel like we’re incredibly overpaid for what we do, even though it was our excitement that got the original video to go viral and got the right eyes at the right time on this product.
